Winneconne wins important football game
In a close Bay Conference football game, Winneconne beat Fox Valley Lutheran 38–31. Both teams are still undefeated in the conference, with a record of 6-0. This sets up a big game for the Bay Conference title against Seymour on October 17. Brody Schaffer, the quarterback for Winneconne, was the best player on the field. He ran for 206 yards on 20 carries and scored two touchdowns. He also threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Karter Hawthorne and had two interceptions on defense. FVL quarterback Gabe Heiges threw three touchdown passes, two of which went to the fast Jacoby Dobberstein. The game was exciting until the last few minutes.
Girls Volleyball Results Show Who’s on Top
In Fox Valley Association action, Kimberly beat Neenah 3-0, winning 25-16, 25-18, and 25-22. This showed how strong they were. Natalie Weyenberg had 18 kills, Bri Hagglund had 7 kills and 12 digs, Ava Van Vonderen had 8 kills, Emma Tesch had 19 assists, and Finley Van Lannen had 15 digs.
Appleton East beat Appleton West 3-0, with scores of 25-21, 25-13, and 25-20. Fond du Lac beat Appleton North 3-0, with scores of 25-22, 25-21, and 25-6. Fox Valley Lutheran beat Oconto Falls 3-1 in the North Eastern Conference. Ellie Hayes had 13 kills, and Kenzie Loberger had 20 assists and 8 aces.
St. Mary Catholic beat Iola-Scandinavia 3-1, Valders beat Chilton 3-0, and Shiocton beat Clintonville 3-0. All of these wins showed good teamwork and skill execution.
Boys Soccer Results: Close Games and Tense Wins
Fox Valley Lutheran and Appleton East played to a 1-1 tie in boys soccer. JJ Minzlaff scored for the Foxes with help from Cameron Williams. In the second half, Appleton East scored, leaving both teams hungry for wins in the Fox Valley Association.
Beloit Memorial beat Kimberly 3-0, with Banks Denu scoring three goals in the first half. Little Chute beat Green Bay West 4-3, keeping their cool even when the game got close late in the game. Seymour beat Wrightstown by a score of 1-0, which was a very important conference win. Howards Grove beat St. Mary Catholic by a score of 3-0. Gibraltar beat Clintonville 3-1, taking a 2-1 lead into halftime and keeping control for the rest of the game.

Brody Schaffer from Winneconne was a standout in football. He was a quarterback and a rusher, and he also played defense. Natalie Weyenberg, Ellie Hayes, and Kenzie Loberger, all volleyball stars, made important plays that helped their teams win.
